So something I came across in the mission to get Umbra… are all the warframes made from infested? I had assumed they were all basically robotic exosuits the the operator pilots, but needing life support and take toxin damage doesn’t make much sense in that case, but I’d originally just written it off as a clash between writing and development. But there is so many clues, and it seemed like that’s what Ballas said in the cipher. But the lore is also really rucking confusing, so I’m not sure I understand much of it at all tbh.

I can't think of a better fate for this "useless room" than what DE did. Making it serve as one of the core mechanics for building and overall fun thing to play with was the best decision.

I really miss the good old room. It overall looked nicer with the water plants etc. Not it got Warframe flowers in on corner xD

Tbh, looking at the original infested room, i initially thought it may have been a room for the operator to sleep in. Like, there's that chamber in the back that could be seen as a bed, and the seat could have been where the operator did some work of some kind. Maybe where we learn the different trees type thing.
